  Hotel Grand Hotel Europe

The Grand Hotel Europe was the first five-star hotel in Russia, a superb combination of historical ambience and modern facilities. When the hotel reopened after an extensive renovation in 1991, it had a rich historical tradition to live up to. Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Ivan Turgenev, Sergey Prokofiev and George Bernard Shaw were just a few of the famous personalities who have visited the hotel, its doors first opened in 1875. The hotel continues to host visiting royalty, politicians and other celebrity guests from all over the world. The accommodation features fine antiques and period reproductions, guest rooms have international direct-dial telephones with modem connections, Wi-Fi, satellite TV and radio, a minibar and a safe.
